HP Server manufacturing division implemented our passive UHF RFID solution for continuous validation and inventory to increase the visibility and tracking of locations of all server line products at all the different stages of the assembly line.
Client: Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is company providing variety of hardware and software components and services to consumers, small- and medium-sized businesses and large enterprise all over the world.
- End-to-end visibility of all products at different stages of the assembly line
- Enhanced capability to prevent wrong shipments to customers
- Quicker finding of misplaced units
- RFID readers for tracking items fitted with EPC
- Gen 2 passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) tags
- Custom integration with in-house system
How did we do it?
tagVUE Work-In-Progress solution
tagVUE Work-In-Progress solution with shipping validation consists of desktop and mobile applications that communicate with UHF RFID readers and perform super-fast continuous inventory
Robust UHF RFID infrastructure
Infrastructure installation consists of fixed UHF RFID readers with automated motion sensors and lamp stacks to give valuable alerts to users in real-time. Handheld UHF readers were also used at appropriate stages of the processes.
Integration with custom in-house managements system
Flexible nature of our client suite of apps allowed us to integrate with HP’s Shop Floor Management System for shipping validation. Our flexibility gives us the power to integrate with custom cloud or in-house API endpoints quickly and efficiently in matter of days
Quicker finding of misplaced items
Nature of UHF RFID which has wireless range of detecting tags to up to several meters and the ability to perform fast continuous inventory with UHF RFID readers give clients power to easily find where the unit was last seen and afterwards to even utilized lookup Geiger-like function to locate unit with UHF RFID handheld device
